In the game of poker, there truly are a ton of different reasons why you should raise. To be honest, most people think that you only need to raise when you have a really good hand and you want to win some more money. While some of that is true, there are other different reasons that you can raise, however do you know what they are? That is what we are going to explore in the next few blogs!
The first reason that people raise is because they want some more money. The pot grows and when you win it, you get more money. That is a good and logical reason, however that is not always how it works out because you honestly – do not always win remember? So you need to think about that whenever you are raising.

There are many good reasons to raise, just make sure you know what they are before you raise. If you raise “to get information” and are then re-raised… you must accept the information your opponent is telling you. Don’t be stubborn.
