If you are considering playing poker yet have no idea why you should even attempt to get into the game — well, I can tell you that there are many different reasons why you should start playing poker. That is what we are going to talk about in this blog. Some of the major reasons why people start playing poker and why it is actually hard to stop.

One of the first reasons is because it is a social game. This is by far one of the major reasons why people first get into it — because you can get your friends together and start to play some poker. Another major reason that the people play poker is because of the entertainment factor.

Honestly, while poker is a competitive game, it is also a game that is designed to be extremely fun and extremely rewarding, those are two reasons that people play it still.

If you think that the crazy glasses that he wears are nuts, then you should definitely take a look at his aggressive style, because to be honest, he is one of the most aggressive players at the table usually. His nickname is the Fossilman and the reason for that is because he very, very rarely pulls out and folds.

So if you are sitting in the middle of a game with Greg Raymer, you should be prepared to sit in for the long hull because he is definitely not going to pull out at all!

Thang Luu is one of those guys that you absolutely have to watch out for whenever you are on a table with him. The reason for it is because he honestly, does not look like a guy that can wipe the floor with you right? But he does and he will every single time! He is a guy that loves to play Omaha 8 and he has had one of the most impressive ones.

So if you are looking for someone to beat, Thang Luu is going to be that person but I wish you good luck – seriously!

Chris Moneymaker – this guy is incredible in every aspect of the word. Not only has he been playing poker since 2000, but he is actually part of the very exclusive Team Pokerstar. This guy actually started playing poker after seeing the money Rounders and I think that is pretty freaking cool actually. He is considered a very reputable tournament player and to be honest, I don’t think that I would want to play against him.

He is by far one of the most skilled players of his time and I think that Chris is going places. He is aggressive against his opponents and that is the best way to play no matter which way you look at it! Chris was born and raised in Nashville and no wonder he is so aggressive right?

He has a wife and a daughter and honestly, he’s a family man. You never would guess it by the way he plays though! So watch out for Chris Moneymaker!

To be completely honest, most people have no idea how to play poker or even switch up their strategies a little bit to confuse the other players. Well, that is exactly what we are going to teach in right here and now, to make sure that you win in online poker or really any poker that you try!

One of the very first things that you need to make sure that you do is honestly – know when to quit. You never should keep playing if you know that you hand is a bad on – so fold and know when to fold.

Next, make sure that you study. Reading up on the game of poker is something that every single person that plays should be doing, you should know the ins and outs of the game all over the place and you should never; ever not know something about poker. That way you can know what you chances of winning and losing are.

In present times online games like Poker, Blackjack, Slots, Craps, and Roulette are very popular. Video Poker is the fifth most popular casino game that is played on the internet.

The thing that makes online poker so attractive is its simplicity and the fact that one can start playing it with a very low stake, starting at $ 0.01. Rules and etiquettes for poker machine are not as rigid as they are in case of Black jacks or Craps. So simplicity of Poker machines makes it easier for a newcomer.

No doubt Video Poker is one of the simplest casino games but this does not mean that one can expect to win the game without properly learning all the rules of game .First of all learn all the rules of game, find the best strategy and best pay table that are available on the website. Also – read up on the history of video poker, as it’ll teach you even more about the game.

First important tip for a newcomer is that always bet five coins per head. Betting five coins can provide you a large bonus if u happens to make a royal flush. It is due to the fact that in a royal flush you earn a significant amount of payout percentage and you earn maximum if you bet five coins per head.

Next important tip is always going for full pay games. One should know that a full jack game should return nine times the amount your bet on a full house and six times your bet on a royal flush.

That’s right, you DON’T have to be an internet poker geek to win on the web!

Poker is not gambling. There are certain strategies that you can follow in order for you to make the most money on your poker game. Whether you play it safe, or bet extravagant amounts just because you think there is a strategy to your game, poker is serious business.

One of the most common myths about poker is that you will always lose. Playing with people of your own skill level will help you win the most money when you are playing poker. However, you can and most likely will, lose more money if you play someone who has been playing poker longer than you. Make sure you try to pick an easy opponent, that way, you will have a sure chance at winning at least some money.

Poker does involve laying some money down, but you have the opportunity to earn it back. Gambling provides an element of chance, with poker you can say that you are out and no longer want to place any more money on the line. While poker does involve some chance, nearly anyone can win, and quite possibly with any hand.

Poker is not a game of gambling with extreme odds such as games like craps, or blackjack. These games have outrageous odds and you have no direct control over the outcome. Poker has odds, but they are somewhat controlled by the players and also afford you the ability to know what you are betting on. Gambling is outrageous odds, and unknown outcomes. Poker is far from gambling!

If you need more poker help, make sure to read Malou’s Poker Tips, she’s got some game!

Along with the meteoric rise of Texas hold’em came a wave of new poker-based table games. Today, the most popular among these is three card poker, which has now replaced Caribbean stud in a number of casinos. If you’ve ever played the game, this should come as no surprise, as three card poker is easy to learn and offers some impressive payouts.

A three card poker table is set up similarly to that of a blackjack table, with seats for several players positioned across from a single dealer. In front of each seat are three circles – one marked ‘Play’, one marked ‘Ante’, and a third, yellow one marked ‘Pair Plus.’ To begin a hand of three card poker, the player must post a bet in the Ante circle. He also has the option of placing a bet on the Pair Plus. Then, the dealer will distribute three cards to each player and to herself. Once the player has seen his cards, he may either fold or play. If he folds, the ante wager is forfeited and the hand is over for that player. If he wants to play his cards, he must place a bet equal to the ante on the Play circle.

Once all of the players have either called or folded their hands, all the cards are turned over. As in blackjack, the player need only defeat the dealer, not the other patrons at the table. Card rankings follow traditional poker rules, including pairs, straights, and flushes, though with three cards there can be no two pair or full house hands. The only catch is that the dealer must have at least a queen high for the hand to qualify. If all of his cards are below a queen and he doesn’t have a pair, three of a kind, a straight, or a flush, then the Play bet is a push (it gets returned to the player) and the Ante pays even money. If the dealer’s hand qualifies, then all winning players are paid even money on the Ante and Play bets while losing players lose both.

In addition to the even money payouts, three card poker offers the player extra odds on the Ante and Pair Plus circles. The Ante bet usually pays 1 to 1 on a straight, 3 or 4 to 1 on a three of a kind, and 4 or 5 to 1 on a straight flush. Payouts on the Pair Plus always pay even money for a pair but vary on other hands: flushes pay approximately 4 to 1, straights 6 to 1, three of a kinds 30 to 1, and straight flushes 40 to 1. This means that the minimum payout for a straight flush on a $5 table would be $200. As an added bonus, some casinos offer a ‘Mini Royal Flush’ – a suited A/K/Q – that pays 200-1!

Though simple in comparison to variants such as Texas hold’em or seven card stud, three card poker can still provide a fix for players hankering for a quick, easy game of poker. It can be learned in the course of a few hands and has an exciting pay structure that keeps the player interested. Better yet, the house edge is modest, ranging from about 3%-4.25% on the ante bet, depending on the specific casino rules. So next time you are thinking about trying a new and exciting table game, consider three card poker as your new form of gambling entertainment.
